100th Anniversary Celebration
Preparations are well underway for our 100th Anniversary Celebration. Although slightly delayed from our original date in June of 2020, the Roaring 20s themed event will take place on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at the airplane hangar of Aviation Technologies at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport. The event, sponsored by Discover NEPA, will highlight not only our history, but also that of the countless businesses, volunteers and organizations that have supported us throughout our 100-years of service. Guests will enjoy a delicious array of foods prepared by Jim Guasto, Executive Chef at Arturo’s Restaurant and Bar, Dupont, PA and award winning craft beer brewed right in Pittston, PA by Susquehanna Brewing Company. Entertainment will be provided by Sweet Pepper and the Long Hots, a local 8 piece horn band featuring seasoned Greater Pittston musicians with a fabulous big band sound. MCR Design Group led by John Phillips will transform the airplane hangar into a remarkable 1920s nightclub. It will be a night you won’t want to miss.
As part of this celebration, we are crafting a commemorative 100th anniversary publication which will not only include our story, but the stories of many of our members, both past and present. Every level of event sponsorship includes a full page opportunity for our members to share their story. Each guest will take home a copy of this souvenir book that illustrates the history of our Greater Pittston business community.
Join us on Saturday, April 17, 2021.
